Hyderabad: Minister Danasari Anasuya Seethakka said complete health is possible only through yoga and urged people to adopt it as a daily practice during a yoga programme held in Mulugu district.
The programme took place at Bandarupalli Girijan Bhavan under the Praja Palana–Pragathi Plan health week. It was organised on the occasion of World Homeopathy Day, marking the 271st birth anniversary of Samuel Hahnemann.
The minister attended the event along with District Collector T.S. Divakara and inaugurated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Officials, AYUSH staff, sportspersons, and participants joined the session.
Yoga programme highlights role of daily practice in health
Addressing the gathering, the minister said practising yoga for 30 to 60 minutes daily keeps both body and mind active. She noted that yoga has held importance since ancient times and stressed that good health is essential to achieve life goals.
Collector Divakara said people should adopt yoga as a daily habit. He suggested practising yoga and exercise for at least 45–50 minutes to maintain energy levels throughout the day.
He added that a combination of exercise and nutritious food ensures complete health. Meanwhile, participants, including officials and youth, performed yoga together during the programme.
District Medical and Health Officer Gopala Rao, councillors, medical students, women’s group members, and other officials attended the event.
