Hyderabad: A woman was brutally murdered inside her house in the Dundigal area of the city, triggering panic among local residents.
The incident occurred within the limits of Dundigal. The victim, identified as Sushilamma, was alone at home when unidentified assailants attacked her and fled from the spot.
Family members discovered Sushilamma’s body lying on a sofa and immediately alerted the police. Following the information, police teams rushed to the scene.
On examination, police found severe injuries on the body, indicating a violent assault. They deployed a dog squad and clues team to collect evidence from the house.
Woman murder Dundigal probed from multiple angles
Police said the circumstances of the death appeared suspicious. Investigators began probing whether burglars committed the murder or whether known persons targeted the woman for cash and jewellery.
During the investigation, police identified two suspects. CCTV footage from the surrounding area showed two unidentified persons moving near the crime scene around the time of the murder.
The footage showed one youth accompanied by another individual. Both appeared nervous while walking through the locality.
Police noted that the suspects neither arrived nor left on a motorcycle or any other vehicle. Instead, they walked away from the area after the incident.
Police said efforts were underway to trace the suspects, and further investigation continued.
