Hyderabad: A 26-year-old woman was found hanging in a hotel room in Raidurgam, prompting a police investigation amid suspicions raised by her family.
The deceased, Anusha, a beautician from Nallagandla, had been living with her parents after separating from her husband due to ongoing marital issues. She reportedly left home on the evening of June 22, telling her family she was going to meet friends, but did not return.
When she failed to respond to phone calls, her family approached the police and lodged a missing person complaint. On Tuesday night, hotel staff in Raidurgam alerted police after discovering her body hanging from a ceiling fan in the room she had booked.
While police suspect suicide, Anusha’s family has questioned the circumstances of her death and demanded a thorough investigation.
The Raidurgam police have registered a case and are examining CCTV footage, call records, and other evidence as part of the inquiry.
