LUCKNOW: A bizarre incident has come to light in Uttar Pradesh, where a woman eloped with her daughter’s fiancé just nine days before the wedding. The two claimed they were going out for wedding shopping but instead disappeared, leaving both families in complete shock.
The woman’s husband has lodged a police complaint following their disappearance.
The bride-to-be’s parents had been eagerly preparing for the wedding, hoping to see their daughter settle into a happy, stable married life. However, ever since the match was fixed, the groom had been frequently visiting the family. During this time, an emotional and physical relationship reportedly developed between him and his future mother-in-law.
As the wedding date drew near, the situation took an unexpected turn. Just nine days before the scheduled ceremony, the woman and her future son-in-law left the house under the pretext of shopping for wedding items – and never returned.
Their sudden disappearance stunned both families and their relatives. The woman’s husband reported the matter to the police, who have registered a case and begun an investigation.
