Wings India 2026 ends with major deals, record turnout

Hyderabad: Wings India 2026, Asia’s largest civil aviation summit, concluded in Hyderabad on Saturday with major aircraft deals, high-level policy dialogue, and record-breaking attendance, underscoring India’s growing role as a global aviation hub.

Held at Begumpet Airport, the four-day event drew more than 75,000 business visitors and over one lakh general attendees. Organised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Airports Authority of India (AAI), and FICCI, the summit welcomed 2,000 delegates, including 200 international representatives.

Wings India 2026 aviation deals highlight India’s rising global footprint

Over 150 companies from across the aviation sector participated in the exhibition. More than 500 B2B and B2G meetings were conducted. Key announcements included:

  • Air India’s fresh order for 30 Boeing narrowbody aircraft
  • Conversion of A321neo orders to A321XLRs
  • HAL’s contract to supply 10 Dhruv NG helicopters to Pawan Hans
  • MoU for the introduction of L410 NG aircraft in the Indian market

The show also featured more than 30 aircraft in static and flying displays. The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team captivated audiences with aerial performances. Leadership presence remained strong, with a virtual address from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and participation by top global aviation CEOs.

The event concluded with the Wings India Excellence Awards. Organisers confirmed that the next edition will take place in 2028.
