PATHANAMTHITTA: A shocking incident unfolded in Pathanamthitta, Kerala, where a mistakenly sent WhatsApp kiss emoji led to the brutal murder of two people. The accused, identified as Baiju, killed his wife Vaishnavi and their neighbor Vishnu in a violent rage.
According to reports, Vishnu, who lived opposite Baiju’s house, accidentally sent a kiss emoji to Vaishnavi on WhatsApp. When Baiju saw the message, he was enraged and immediately confronted his wife. During the heated argument, he attempted to attack her with a machete.
Fearing for her life, Vaishnavi ran into Vishnu’s house to escape her husband’s fury. However, Baiju stormed into Vishnu’s house, dragged his wife outside, and launched a brutal attack with the machete. When Vishnu tried to intervene, Baiju attacked him as well, leaving both victims critically injured.
Local residents rushed the victims to the hospital, but both succumbed to their injuries on the way. Following the murders, Baiju calmly took a bath, changed his clothes, and called his friend to confess his crime. His friend immediately alerted the police, leading to Baiju’s arrest.
Further investigation revealed that Baiju and Vaishnavi had married for love several years ago and had two children, aged 10 and 5. The tragic incident has left the community in shock.
