Hyderabad: With the clock ticking down to inauguration day, Hyderabad’s top water official is pressing the pedal on two major sewerage projects.
HMWSSB Managing Director K Ashok Reddy, accompanied by Executive Director Mayank Mittal, on Thursday reviewed the final stages of work at the Amberpet and Attapur Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs), urging officials to fast-track all remaining tasks.
At the Amberpet site, Reddy took stock of landscaping, internal roadwork, painting, and general beautification. He told staff to ensure the facility is fully polished and ready for formal opening. Similar instructions were handed down at Attapur, where he called for the immediate closure of all civil works.
Officials from the Water Board said the managing director made it clear that no delay would be tolerated, and every team must work around the clock to complete pending jobs. The push comes as both plants near operational readiness after months of development.
