Hyderabad: A washing machine blast in Ameerpet startled a family after their appliance exploded during a wash cycle, sending debris across the balcony.
The blast tore the machine apart. Its inner parts shot upward, struck the ceiling, and then scattered across the area. According to the woman from the house, the loud noise forced everyone to run out in fear. She added that no one was on the balcony at that moment, which prevented a major accident.
Residents said the noise shook the neighbourhood. They added that frequent appliance use in many homes made routine safety checks important, especially when machines run at high loads.
