HYDERABAD: The Panjagutta police have intensified their investigation into the promotion of betting apps by celebrities and social media influencers. Previously, cases were registered against 11 individuals, including actress Vishnu Priya, for endorsing these apps. On March 20, 2025, Vishnu Priya appeared before the Panjagutta police alongside her legal counsel for questioning. During the interrogation, she reportedly admitted to promoting 15 different betting apps, receiving ₹90,000 for each promotional video. Following her statement, the police recorded her confession and seized her mobile phone for further investigation.
