Woman sets herself on fire with kerosene near Enkepalli

Hyderabad: Vijayalakshmi self-immolation left a 45-year-old woman seriously injured near Enkepalli in Sadashivapet mandal on Thursday morning, after she allegedly poured kerosene on herself and set herself ablaze.

Locals noticed the incident and immediately alerted the 108 emergency service. Soon after receiving the information, Munipally 108 staff reached the spot and shifted the injured woman for treatment.

The victim was identified as Vijayalakshmi, 45. Emergency personnel provided first aid at the scene before moving her to the Sangareddy Government Hospital for better treatment. The 108 team included pilot Sharif and EMT Raghuram.

Vijayalakshmi self-immolation prompted emergency response

According to local accounts, the incident took place near Enkepalli in Sadashivapet mandal. Residents who saw the woman in flames acted quickly and informed the ambulance service without delay. As a result, the medical team arrived at the location and began emergency care.

After stabilising her condition, the staff shifted Vijayalakshmi to the government hospital in Sangareddy. However, the reasons behind the Vijayalakshmi self-immolation were not immediately known. Further details were awaited.
