Uttam Kumar Reddy calls for clean governance in Suryapet

Hyderabad: Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy urged newly elected municipal representatives in Suryapet district to ensure transparent and corruption-free governance as they assumed office.

Congratulating councillors after the Congress party’s strong performance, Uttam Kumar Reddy noted that the party had won 31 of 48 wards. He said the mandate placed significant responsibility on the new leadership. Therefore, he stressed accountability and cautioned against repeating past instances of corruption.

The Minister said public trust must translate into visible results. He asked the representatives to focus on effective delivery of civic services and responsive administration.

Uttam Kumar Reddy seeks focused urban development

Highlighting Suryapet’s strategic location along a national highway, Minister said the town had strong growth potential. However, he observed that the potential remained underutilised.

He called for regular performance reviews and targeted development plans. Moreover, he urged officials and elected members to implement actionable strategies to accelerate urban progress.

He assured that he would work to secure adequate funds for urban development. Several senior leaders and party representatives attended the meeting.
