Security tightened at Uppal Stadium for HCA meeting; only authorised secretaries allowed in

Hyderabad: Police enforced tight security at Uppal Stadium on Saturday ahead of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) meeting, allowing entry only to secretaries of 173 authorised cricket clubs.

Suspended members were denied access, with Rachakonda Commissioner Sudheer Babu inspecting the site personally and directing precautionary deployment to prevent any disturbances.

The security detail included barricades and controlled access points around the stadium. Police made it clear that only those with valid approval from the HCA would be allowed inside.

The restrictions come amid tensions over club eligibility, prompting authorities to ensure the meeting proceeds without incident.
