Minister Damodar directs Ugadi deadline for Sanathnagar TIMS

Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha directed officials to make Sanathnagar TIMS fully operational by Ugadi, stressing uninterrupted power, water and fire safety compliance at the upcoming hospital.

The minister inspected the Telangana Institute of Medical Sciences (TIMS) facility at Sanathnagar on Tuesday. Subsequently, he held a high-level review meeting in the emergency block with senior officials from medical, fire, pollution control, water supply, electricity and Roads and Buildings departments.

He instructed officials to ensure 24-hour uninterrupted power and water supply to the hospital. Moreover, he said there should be no disruption under any circumstances. He also directed fire department officials to conduct floor-wise inspections and secure complete fire clearance without compromise.

Sanathnagar TIMS to offer corporate-level care

During the visit, the minister examined advanced diagnostic equipment, including CT scan, MRI, X-ray and ultrasound machines. He instructed officials to make the equipment operational at the earliest. In addition, he directed them to deploy adequate doctors and technicians for maintenance and services.

He inspected the reception, help desk, OP counters, waiting halls, consultation rooms, diagnostics sections, inpatient wards and pharmacies. Further, he said authorities must establish sufficient OP and pharmacy counters to handle patient inflow efficiently.
