Hyderabad: The Telangana Urdu Working Journalists Federation (TUWJF) has extended financial assistance to Mujahid, a sub-editor with the daily Andhra Jyothy, who was seriously injured in a two-wheeler accident nearly 25 days ago. Mujahid, a resident of LB Nagar in Warangal, has been undergoing treatment for his injuries.
In a gesture of solidarity, members of the TUWJF’s United Warangal District Committee visited Mujahid to inquire about his health and offered monetary support. Federation representatives affirmed their commitment to standing with minority journalists during times of crisis.
Speaking on the occasion, the TUWJF team reiterated their ongoing efforts to support journalists from marginalised communities and pledged to continue such aid initiatives.
Those present included TUWJF Warangal President Mohammed Sajid Pasha, Secretary Naeem, Treasurer Amir Khan, Advisors Waheed Gulshan and Ismail Jaabi, Vice Presidents Mohammed Munawwar and M.A. Akram, Deputy Secretary Riyaz, senior journalist Jafar, Nizamabad-based monthly reporter Mirza Fathullah Baig, and Press Club members M.D. Naeem, Babar, Mohammed Basheer, Rafiq, Sirajuddin, Narasampet reporter Rafiq, among others.
