Tummala to launch farmer kits for natural farming

Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao will launch distribution of farmer kits for natural farming from the Secretariat today (Tuesday), covering over 61,000 farmers across the State.

The programme forms part of the National Natural Farming scheme. The minister will inaugurate the distribution at 10 am, marking the start of the statewide rollout.

The government identified 489 clusters for implementation. Officials selected 125 farmers in each cluster, taking the total number of beneficiaries to 61,125.

Tummala leads rollout of natural farming kits

The kits aim to promote awareness and recognition of natural farming practices. Each kit will include a cloth bag, field diary, identity card, calendar, cap, pen and a small diary booklet.

After the launch at the Secretariat, authorities will distribute kits at Rythu Vedikas in districts. Local public representatives will hand over the kits to farmers.

Officials said the initiative would support adoption of natural farming and benefit farmers across the State.
