Hyderabad, January 29: The Telangana State United Teachers Federation (TSUTF) has announced its candidates for the upcoming Teacher Member of Legislative Council (MLC) elections. The federation introduced its nominees during a programme held on Wednesday.
Former Telangana Progressive Teachers Federation (TPTF) president Y. Ashok Kumar has been selected to contest from the Karimnagar, Medak, Nizamabad, and Adilabad constituencies. Meanwhile, incumbent MLC Alugubelli Narsireddy will seek re-election from the Warangal, Khammam, and Nalgonda constituencies.
The Election Commission of India has already released the election schedule, which includes two teacher constituencies and one graduate constituency. With this announcement, the TSUTF aims to strengthen its representation in the Legislative Council.
