Hyderabad: The transport department earned a total of ₹42,10,844 from fancy number sales on Friday, following aggressive bidding in an online auction conducted by the Khairatabad RTA.
The standout bid came for TG09G9999, which went to Keystone Infra for ₹12 lakh. The TG09G series, linked to the Khairatabad office—coded ‘09’—continues to draw consistent demand, especially for numbers ending in 9.
NSIR Management Services picked up TG09G0001 for ₹5,66,111. TG09G0009 was secured by Srinivasa Constructions at ₹5,25,000.
According to Joint Transport Commissioner Ramesh, strong competition around 09’ numbers helped push up revenues, with all three top bids contributing a significant share to the day’s ₹42 lakh collection.
