Hyderabad: Rachakonda Police announced traffic diversions in Uppal on December 13 in view of the Messi Tour and live event at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
Police said traffic congestion is expected within the limits of the Uppal Traffic Police Station due to large public movement for the event. Accordingly, traffic diversions will remain in force for most of the day.
The traffic diversions will apply from 12 noon to 11.50 pm on December 13. During this period, police will divert all heavy vehicles away from Uppal roads.
Traffic diversions and congestion timings in Uppal
Police said lorries, dumpers, earth movers, water tankers, RMC trucks and all other heavy vehicles will face diversion restrictions. Officials advised drivers of such vehicles to avoid Uppal routes during the diversion hours.
According to the advisory, traffic congestion is likely between 2 pm and 11.50 pm. Commuters should avoid the Falaknuma–Santoshnagar–Uppal and Secunderabad–Habsiguda–Uppal routes due to slow-moving traffic.
Rachakonda Police requested the public to use alternative roads to ensure a smoother commute during the event hours.
