Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police on Friday issued an advisory announcing traffic diversions and restrictions in view of the Bibi Ka Alam procession on July 6. The measures will be in force from 12 noon to 10 pm across the Old City, with separate restrictions in Secunderabad between 4 pm and 8.30 pm.
Vehicles will not be permitted towards Bibi-ka-Alawa at Sunargalli T Junction and will be diverted towards Dabeerpura Darwaza, Ganga Nagar Nala, or Yakutpura. When the procession crosses key points like Ganga Nagar Nala, Ethebar Chowk, Kotla Alija, Charminar, Miralam Mandi, and Alawa Sartauq, traffic on intersecting roads will be diverted accordingly to manage the flow and ensure public safety.
APSRTC and TGSRTC district buses will also be rerouted via Rang Mahal and Afzalgunj from 10 am to 9 pm, and will only be permitted towards Kalikabar and Miralam Mandi roads until the procession reaches its endpoint.
In Secunderabad, traffic from Tank Bund towards Karbala Maidan will be diverted at Children’s Park, and R.P. Road traffic will be rerouted near Bible House. Mahatma Gandhi Road will be made one-way towards Ranigunj during peak hours.
