Hyderabad: A traffic constable in Jeedimetla saved a motorist from being hit by an RTC bus on Wednesday. The incident took place near the Surraram signal under the Jeedimetla Traffic Police Station limits.
Police said a biker travelling from Balanagar to Medak lost control and fell near the moving bus. At that moment, traffic constable Shivakumar, who was on duty, ran forward and pulled the rider away just in time. His quick action prevented a fatal accident.
Constable praised for alert response
The biker escaped without any injuries. CCTV cameras at the spot recorded the entire scene. People who watched the video appreciated Shivakumar for his courage and presence of mind.
Officials said his swift response showed how alert police officers can save lives in emergencies. They added that his act of bravery had set an example for fellow officers.
