Hyderabad: In a bid to tighten its grassroots connect and offer a direct line to citizens, the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is kicking off a daily public outreach programme from Tuesday, June 10. The effort will see two elected representatives stationed at Gandhi Bhavan each day to hear out grievances and push for solutions through government channels.
TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud, who is leading the charge, said the initiative is designed to shrink the distance between the public and their representatives. From 10 am to 1 pm daily, chairpersons of various state-run corporations will be available at the Congress headquarters to take petitions, listen to concerns, and coordinate with officials for follow-up.
But it won’t stop there. Beginning June 10, the party will rotate MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and senior Congress leaders into the schedule to maintain an uninterrupted flow of public engagement. The move builds on TPCC’s earlier “Mukha Mukhi” (face-to-face) sessions, which Goud says drew encouraging participation from citizens.
The debut session will feature Waqf Board Chairman Syed Azmatullah and former MP Kasula Balaraju, both of whom will be on hand to meet with the public on Tuesday. TPCC leaders are framing the initiative as more than just a listening post—it’s also a signal of the party’s intent to practice accessible, accountable governance.
By creating a space for daily interaction between voters and power-brokers, the Congress hopes to cultivate a more responsive political atmosphere—one that stays active between elections, not just during them.
