Hyderabad: As the Jubilee Hills by-election intensifies, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday led a strategy meeting with Congress minority leaders to enhance the party’s outreach to Muslim voters.
The meeting, held at a private hotel in Hyderabad, included key figures such as Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Vivek Venkatswamy (Jubilee Hills in-charges), AICC Secretary Viswanathan, Rajya Sabha MP Anil Kumar Yadav, Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir, candidate Naveen Yadav, Corporation Chairpersons, and other senior leaders.
Congress focuses on Muslim voter mobilisation
Goud urged party leaders to personally engage with Muslim voters, who form a sizable share of the constituency’s electorate. He asked them to highlight welfare schemes introduced by the Congress-led government, especially those aimed at minority communities.
He stressed the importance of coordination among party functionaries to ensure an impactful ground campaign. During the session, attendees offered inputs and discussed specific strategies to secure a Congress win in the bypoll.
