Thummala Nageswara Rao fumes over poor time discipline in Agro Industries office

Hyderabad: Telangana minister Thummala Nageswara Rao on Saturday expressed anger at officials who failed to report to duty on time. He made a surprise visit to the Agro Industries Development Corporation office early in the morning.

The minister noticed that several employees were missing even after office hours began. He questioned the staff about the attendance system. Rao asked whether the office used facial recognition or fingerprint scanning to record attendance.

During his inspection, the minister criticised the poor condition of the building. He instructed officials to improve maintenance and follow office discipline strictly. Rao told department heads to ensure punctuality and proper supervision.

The minister has been carrying out surprise inspections across his departments. Earlier, he visited the Marketing Department headquarters and the Agriculture Commissionerate in Hyderabad without prior notice. He directed senior officers to issue memos to latecomers after those visits.
