HYDERABAD, February 5: A tragic incident occurred near LB Nagar Junction in Hyderabad on Wednesday where a wall in the cellar of the under-construction Sitara Hotel collapsed, resulting in the immediate deaths of three workers.
The workers were engaged in excavation activities in the cellar when a substantial wall suddenly gave way, burying them under a large mound of earth. A fourth worker sustained serious injuries and was promptly transported to Kamineni Hospital for medical treatment.
Preliminary reports indicate that all the deceased were migrant labourers from Bihar who had come to Hyderabad seeking employment opportunities. Authorities are in the process of gathering comprehensive details regarding the incident.
Investigations are underway to determine the cause of the wall collapse and to assess whether safety protocols were adequately followed at the construction site. Officials have yet to release further information pending the outcome of the inquiry.
