Hyderabad, January 11: A major road accident occurred near Jadcherla in Mahabubnagar district late on Friday night. The incident took place at Bhureddipally, where a travel bus collided with a lorry, resulting in three deaths on the spot and leaving 15 others severely injured.
The bus was traveling from Hyderabad to Bengaluru when it rammed into the lorry. Upon receiving information, police rushed to the scene and initiated rescue operations. The bodies of the deceased were recovered, and the injured were transported to a hospital for treatment.
According to the initial investigation, a speeding car on the highway suffered a tyre burst, causing the driver to apply sudden brakes. The lorry driver, reacting quickly, also braked abruptly. The bus following the lorry could not stop in time and collided forcefully, leading to the tragic accident.
