Hyderabad: Rajendranagar Police arrested three men on Monday in connection with the Upperpally murder case and seized several items allegedly linked to the killing. Police identified the arrested men as Mohammed Iliyas, 28, Mohd. Shoaib alias Soheb, 22, and Shaik Sultan, 23. Police said Iliyas had previously been involved in one case, while Shoaib had been involved in five cases.
The murder occurred around 5.36 pm on September 24 near Shams Tailor Shop at Happy Homes in Upperpally. The location was opposite Tower No. 4 and near Pillar No. 185. According to police, the accused attacked Mohd. Naseeruddin Ahmed Khan alias Waseem, 34, following previous disputes. They allegedly used a knife and other objects during the attack.
A person who tried to intervene also suffered injuries. Naseeruddin was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Police seize weapons in Upperpally murder case
During the investigation, police seized a knife, metal knuckle, two-wheeler, mobile phone and blood-stained clothing. Police alleged that the seized items were connected with the offence. Investigators alleged that the three accused had conspired to commit the murder because of earlier disputes. Rajendranagar Police apprehended them on September 28.
Police registered the Upperpally murder case as Crime No. 1125/2026 under Sections 103(1) and 61, read with Section 3(5) of the BNS. The accused were being produced before the court for judicial remand. Police said further investigation was underway.
