Hyderabad: A student suicide case shook Habsiguda on Tuesday after a Class 10 girl jumped from a building soon after her parents allegedly scolded her for scoring low marks.
Police said the girl studied at Sri Chaitanya School in Habsiguda. She became distressed after her parents reprimanded her over her academic performance. In that state, she climbed to the top of a building and jumped. OU Police registered a case and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for postmortem. Officers said they were still gathering details as the inquiry moved forward.
Police deepen inquiry into student suicide
Investigators said they would collect statements from the family and the school staff to trace the events that led to the student suicide. They added that they would release more information after verifying the initial findings.
