Hyderabad: Minister Adluri Laxman Kumar said temple development continued to be a firm commitment of the state government. He visited the Sri Parvatala Mallikarjuna Swamy patnalu mahotsavam in Endapalli mandal on Friday and offered special prayers. Devotees welcomed him with oggu doli artistes as the festivities drew large crowds.
Addressing devotees, he said the government released funds for the renovation and modernisation of several ancient temples. He added that works at the Vemulawada temple were progressing as part of the broader programme. According to him, the aim is to improve facilities so that devotees can visit temples without inconvenience.
Temple development highlighted during patnalu celebrations
The minister linked temple development to cultural preservation and community needs. He praised the temple committee and local organisers for their arrangements, noting that the coordination ensured an orderly celebration. Oggu doli performances remained a major attraction and drew steady attention from devotees.
During the visit, he also spoke with RTC officials and directed them to route Jagityal-bound buses through Endapalli. Villagers expressed happiness because the diversion would improve local travel access. Local Congress leaders, including Maddula Gopal Reddy and Shailender Reddy Abhi, participated in the programme.
