Telangana Govt creating opportunities for women entrepreneurs through Indira Mahila Shakti: Vivek

Hyderabad: Telangana’s Labour and Mines Minister Dr. Vivek Venkataswamy announced that the state government has established women entrepreneurs opportunities through the Indira Mahila Shakti initiative.

The minister delivered these remarks while serving as guest of honour at the “CII Indian Women Uplift – Voice for Change” event at Tech MahIndira in Hi-Tech City on Friday. Furthermore, he called upon women to actively participate in the business sector to bolster national GDP growth.

Venkataswamy emphasised that women demonstrate exceptional multitasking capabilities and resilience. Consequently, the state’s current efforts focus on encouraging women to pursue entrepreneurial ventures as part of broader economic development strategies.

The minister stressed that society bears responsibility for ensuring every woman within families receives adequate opportunities. Moreover, he identified rural women as possessing significant untapped potential that could substantially contribute to national development if properly nurtured.

Additionally, Venkataswamy encouraged young people to consider launching businesses with modest initial investments. He recommended viewing entrepreneurship as a meaningful challenge rather than a risky endeavour.

The minister’s statements came during the Friday event organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry, which focused on amplifying women’s voices for societal change. The initiative aligns with Telangana’s broader policy framework aimed at enhancing women’s economic participation through targeted government programmes.
