Telangana releases ₹713 crore towards pending employee bills

Hyderabad: The Telangana government released ₹713 crore towards pending employee bills for December. This followed orders from Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu.

Acting on his instructions, the Finance Department cleared the dues on Wednesday. The released amount covers payments for employee gratuity, General Provident Fund (GPF) withdrawals, surrender leave encashment, and advances.

The current release aligns with the state’s previous assurance to employee unions that ₹700 crore would be cleared monthly. By June, only ₹183 crore had been disbursed. However, the government began releasing at least ₹700 crore each month from August onwards.
