Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday claimed that Telangana’s per capita income rose to ₹3.87 lakh in 2024–25, the highest in India, marking the state’s first decade as a “golden era” of development.
Quoting official statistics, reports, and economic data, KTR said the growth was a direct result of what he called a comprehensive and balanced development model implemented during the BRS government’s tenure. He made the remarks on social media platform X.
“When the state was formed in 2014, per capita income was below ₹1 lakh. Today, it stands at ₹3.87 lakh, the highest in the country,” KTR posted.
He attributed this economic transformation to the vision and policies of former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, crediting him for implementing sector-wide initiatives that ensured consistent growth. These included large-scale infrastructure development, landmark irrigation projects, targeted welfare schemes, pro-farmer programmes, business-friendly policies, and expansion in the IT and services sectors.
KTR described KCR’s leadership as unmatched in post-Independence India and called his commitment to Telangana “unwavering.”
