Hyderabad: Vijaya Deepika, a 14-year-old para table tennis player from Telangana, secured a silver medal in women’s doubles at the Taipei International Table Tennis Tournament in Chinese Taipei, her first medal at the international level.
Para athlete Deepika had earlier claimed gold at Khelo India 2025 and collected several national medals across 2024 and 2025.
The teenager’s success is being viewed as a significant boost for para sports in the country.
