Meanwhile, Ugadi and Ramzan (Eid-ul-Fitr) will fall close together this month. Therefore, the revised holiday gives employees more time for prayers and preparations.

Employees can use this optional leave for religious observances or personal needs. At the same time, the decision helps them plan festival activities better.

The Telangana optional holiday also reflects the government’s approach to accommodating religious practices. In addition, it highlights respect for diverse festivals in the state.
