Telangana High Court quashes FIR against BRS leader K. T. Rama Rao

HYDERABAD: In a major relief for BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao, the Telangana High Court has quashed the FIR registered against him at the Utnoor police station in Adilabad district.

The FIR had been filed after KTR alleged that the Congress party had diverted ₹25,000 crore in the name of the Musi project. Congress leader Atram Suguna lodged a complaint, claiming that his statement had tarnished the image of the party.

The case was registered on 30 September 2023. Seeking to have the case dismissed, KTR approached the High Court.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the court set aside the FIR, providing significant legal relief to the BRS leader.
