Telangana Govt to build permanent Tahsildar, RDO offices

Hyderabad: The Telangana government will construct permanent buildings for Tahsildar and RDO offices across the State, Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said on Wednesday.

He reviewed the proposal with senior Revenue Department officials at the Secretariat. The Minister said the move aims to ensure dignified and citizen-friendly services. He added that the government wants to strengthen the Revenue administration through better infrastructure.

In the first phase, authorities will build modern structures for 60 Tahsildar offices and five RDO offices that now function in rented premises. In the second phase, the government will reconstruct 170 such offices that operate in dilapidated buildings.

Uniform design planned for new revenue offices

Officials will adopt a uniform design for the new buildings across Telangana. The Minister said the government will take final approval after consulting Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy.

He reiterated that the administration remains committed to upgrading infrastructure and improving public service delivery in the Revenue Department.

Meanwhile, under the Stamps and Registration Department, authorities have begun constructing integrated buildings for 30 Sub-Registrar offices. They grouped these offices into 12 clusters. Foundation works have already been completed at select locations.
