The order directed officials to update village, mandal, and district boundaries before 2027 begins. It also instructed departments to appoint enumerators and supervisors and complete their training on time.

Meanwhile, the government clarified that authorities must not change district or constituency boundaries until Census 2027 concludes. Officials said the census assumes significance as its data may guide future delimitation of Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies.
