HYDERABAD: The Telangana government has directed district collectors to expedite the grounding process of the Indiramma Housing Scheme and ensure immediate payments for houses with completed basements. Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy emphasized the scheme’s priority during a review meeting at the Secretariat on Friday, focusing on various developmental projects in the erstwhile Warangal district.
The meeting, attended by Ministers Konda Surekha, Seethakka, Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, local legislators, collectors, and other officials, addressed topics including the Warangal Smart City works, the Super Specialty Hospital, drinking water issues, and the Indiramma Housing Scheme.
Minister Ponguleti highlighted that the government would disburse payments in four phases, with ₹1 lakh allocated for houses that have completed the basement level. He instructed collectors to send details of such houses to the housing department for prompt payment processing. Furthermore, he urged the completion of the Warangal Super Specialty Hospital building within two months, followed by the installation of medical equipment to make the facility operational by the end of June, aiming to provide advanced medical services to the people of northern Telangana.
In addressing the Madikonda dumping yard issue, Minister Ponguleti instructed officials to implement a temporary solution within a week and work towards a permanent resolution. He also called for the identification and acquisition of 150 to 200 acres of land for a permanent dumping yard along the Warangal-Karimnagar road.
