Telangana fire safety amendments discussed with builders

Hyderabad: Fire safety amendments Telangana were discussed with builders and developers as part of consultations to finalise proposed changes to the Fire Services Act, 1999.

Officials from the Telangana Fire Services Department held a meeting on April 24 at the headquarters with representatives of CREDAI and NAREDCO from Telangana and Hyderabad chapters.

The consultations aimed to strengthen fire and life safety norms. They also focused on improving compliance systems and streamlining the No Objection Certificate process.

Vikram Singh Mann, Director General of the department, shared the draft amendments and explained their background and need.

He outlined each proposed provision in detail to the participants. Furthermore, he invited stakeholders to submit feedback either online or in writing.

Officials stated that all suggestions would be reviewed and analysed before taking further action. Meanwhile, the department plans to continue such meetings with various stakeholders.

These consultations are intended to improve understanding of the proposed changes. They are also expected to strengthen the overall fire safety framework in Telangana.
