Telangana extends e-PASS scholarship registration deadline to March 31, 2026

Hyderabad: The Telangana government has extended the deadline for student and college registrations on the e-PASS portal for Post-Matric Scholarships (PMS) to March 31, 2026. This extension is for the academic year 2025–26.

Earlier set for December 31, 2025, the deadline has been revised to allow more time for fresh and renewal applications. The e-PASS (Electronic Payment and Application System of Scholarships) scheme covers SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority, and Physically Challenged students. It enables transparent and accountable scholarship disbursals online.

Shortfall due to pending CET data uploads

According to Dr. Buddhaprakash Jyoti, secretary to the government, registrations began on July 1, 2025. So far, 7,82,779 students have enrolled, against a total eligible strength of 10,89,233. The gap was primarily due to pending CET data uploads from KLNR, PGECET (3rd Phase), LAWCET (Last Phase), and SW2. These uploads are mandatory for fresh PMS applications.

The government has directed all regulatory bodies and college managements to complete data uploads on the e-PASS portal before the new deadline. This is essential to ensure eligible students do not miss out on scholarships for the current academic year.

Welfare departments have been instructed to publicise the extended registration period widely. They are also to facilitate the timely completion of both fresh and renewal scholarship applications.
