Telangana extends deadline for e-pass scholarship registration to December 31, 2025

Hyderabad: Telangana extends e-pass scholarship registration deadline

The Telangana government extended the registration deadline for the Telangana e-pass scholarship 2025. Students and colleges can now apply until December 31, 2025, instead of September 30.

Officials from the Department of Scheduled Castes Development said the move would improve transparency and speed up scholarship processing. The e-pass system covers SC, ST, BC, EBC, minority, and disabled students pursuing post-metric education.

Registrations for the 2025–26 academic year began on July 1, 2025, through telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.

Low registration numbers prompt government action

Authorities reported 1,74,004 renewal applications out of 7,12,900 eligible students. Fresh registrations reached 30,758 against a total of 4,57,993.

Exam conveners handling EAPCET, ECET, ICET, LAWCET, and other tests have yet to upload CET data. The department urged them to act quickly so that students can complete their applications on time.

Colleges and welfare departments told to act before the deadline

Colleges must help students finish registration before December 31, 2025. Managements should upload data for both fresh and renewal applications without delay.

Meanwhile, welfare departments will promote the extended deadline across the state. Officials said the government aims to ensure every eligible student registers under the Telangana e-pass scholarship 2025 scheme for the academic year 2025–26.
