Telangana SEC launches upgraded election grievance system for local polls

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Election Commission has launched an upgraded election grievance system to facilitate easy filing of complaints by voters during the village panchayat polls. The Commission stated that the new service aims to enhance transparency and public access.

Telangana election grievance system opens for quick online filing

The SEC issued its statutory notification on November 25 under Sections 198(1) and 198(2) of the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018. After the notification, the election process and the Model Code of Conduct came into force and will remain active until the polls end.

Citizens can file complaints through the Grievance Module on tsec.gov.in. They must register with a mobile number and then upload their issue. Moreover, they can track each complaint through the same portal.

Officials said the platform offers a simple way to raise concerns. They added that the system helps officers monitor complaints faster and coordinate responses across districts. Because of these features, the SEC expects stronger public participation.

The Commission said the upgraded module will improve accountability and support clean local elections. It stated that the tool will also encourage citizens to play an active role in the process
