Hyderabad: The Telangana Congress disciplinary committee on Saturday held a key meeting at Gandhi Bhavan to review complaints against former MLC Konda Murali, who appeared before the panel to present his explanation.
A group of Congress MLAs from Warangal district had lodged complaints alleging Murali was violating party discipline.
Murali submitted a six-page written statement to the committee, saying he had not been formally summoned but chose to appear voluntarily out of respect for the PCC president to clarify the facts.
He also alleged that certain leaders were deliberately harassing his family. In his submission, Murali named Bhupalpally MLA Gandra Venkata Ramana Reddy, Parkal MLA Prashanth Reddy, and government advisor V Narayana Reddy, accusing them of ignoring party norms and conducting tours in his constituency.
The committee is examining the matter in detail and is expected to submit its report to party leadership soon.
