Hyderabad: The Telangana government has cleared ₹6,679 crore for a major infrastructure upgrade in Hyderabad under a new urban development initiative.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, in a review meeting with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials on Thursday, approved the funding for works to be undertaken as part of the “Hyderabad City Innovation and Transformative Infrastructure” project.
Officials have been instructed to begin project execution by the end of July without delay. The chief minister issued directions to accelerate planning and ensure early completion of the works.
The initiative aims to address critical infrastructure gaps in the capital. GHMC officials said work will begin in phases, with timelines to be finalised in coordination with implementing agencies.
