TCJAC protests at Uppal Stadium as police block entry to HCA meeting

Hyderabad: TCJAC protests erupted outside Uppal Stadium on Saturday after Telangana Cricket Joint Action Committee members clashed with police over restricted access to an ongoing HCA meeting.

The meeting, held at the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s main office in Uppal, permitted entry only to the 173 officially approved cricket club secretaries. TCJAC members, who arrived at the venue demanding entry, were blocked by police.

In response, they attempted to storm the stadium, shouting slogans and demanding recognition for 300 additional cricket clubs. Police prevented the breach, triggering tension at the entrance.

Security had been tightened in advance with heavy deployment of police personnel around the stadium.
