Sword attack at Keesara junction leaves Dodla Milk manager critical

Hyderabad: A sword attack at the Keesara main junction early Thursday left Dodla Milk manager Srinivas critically injured following a dispute with a milk vendor.

The incident occurred in the early hours when Srinivas arrived at Keesara for work-related reasons. Police said milk vendor Kiran confronted him during a heated argument near the junction.

During the exchange, Kiran attacked Srinivas with a sword and fled the scene. Police rushed to the spot after receiving information.

Sword attack followed dispute over pending milk dues

Police shifted Srinivas to Srikara Hospital in the city as his condition turned critical. Officials identified him as a resident of Moula Ali.

Police said Kiran had been supplying milk for some time and owed pending dues to Dodla Milk. Repeated arguments had taken place between the two over recovery of the amount.

On Tuesday morning, Srinivas told a van driver not to supply milk to Kiran. The instruction triggered another confrontation, which led to the sword attack.

Police said teams were searching for the accused and assured strict action once he was traced.
