Swami Vivekananda inspired youth with patriotism and service: TPCC chief

Hyderabad: TPCC president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud on Monday described Swami Vivekananda as a visionary leader who inspired India’s youth with confidence, patriotism, and a spirit of service.

In a statement issued on the occasion of National Youth Day, Goud extended greetings to young people across the country and said it was a matter of pride that Vivekananda’s birth anniversary is commemorated as National Youth Day. He emphasised that the spiritual leader’s teachings continue to guide today’s generation.

“Swami Vivekananda filled youth with self-confidence, national pride, and a commitment to serve society,” Goud said, urging young people to remember the leader’s enduring message that the future of the country lies in their hands.

Highlighting the Congress government’s focus on youth, Goud said education, employment, and skill development remain top priorities. He called youth empowerment the foundation of both state and national progress.

He also urged youth to take up leadership in protecting democratic values, social justice, and equality, drawing inspiration from Vivekananda’s ideals. “Young people must play an active role in building society,” he said.

Goud further appealed to youth to work toward national unity and inclusive development. He also extended birthday wishes to Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi, calling her a symbol of public service and dedication.
