Hyderabad: A suicide in Band Rameshwarpalli village of Palvancha mandal left a family devastated after a 30-year-old man allegedly ended his life following a dispute with his in-laws.
The deceased, identified as Sunku Praveen, hanged himself at his residence on Thursday night. When he did not come out, his mother knocked on the door repeatedly. However, she received no response. Therefore, relatives forced the door open and found him hanging. The incident triggered scenes of grief at the house.
According to villagers, Praveen’s brothers-in-law had visited to address ongoing family issues. However, an argument reportedly escalated, and they allegedly assaulted him. Subsequently, they took his wife back to her parental home.
Suicide follows alleged assault and separation
After the confrontation, Praveen reportedly slipped into deep mental distress. As a result, he died by suicide later that night. Villagers said the sequence of events deeply affected him.
Machareddy police shifted the body to the Kamareddy District General Hospital for postmortem. Meanwhile, officers registered a case and began investigating the circumstances surrounding the suicide.
