Hyderabad: A student suicide case shocked Sirsapalli village in Huzurabad after first-year engineering student Kokkonda Abhilash was found dead at his home. The 19-year-old studied at Singapore KITS College. Locals said they had not noticed any unusual behaviour before the incident.
Abhilash died by suicide early on Friday when he hanged himself in the bathroom near his house. His parents and neighbours found him soon after and rushed him to Huzurabad Area Hospital. Doctors examined him and declared that he had already died. Police said the reason behind the student suicide remained unclear.
Police begin probe into student suicide case
Officials registered a case and started an investigation. They said they would speak to family members, classmates and friends to understand possible factors once initial details emerge. The inquiry will also review personal and academic circumstances linked to the student suicide.
