SONIPAT: In a bizarre incident at OP Jindal University in Sonipat, Haryana, a male student attempted to smuggle his girlfriend into the boys’ hostel by hiding her inside a large suitcase. The unusual attempt to seek privacy went awry when security personnel grew suspicious and uncovered the plan.
According to university sources, the student had wanted to spend some private time with his girlfriend and devised an audacious plan. He made her sit inside a large luggage suitcase and tried to sneak her into the hostel undetected.
When questioned by security guards about the contents of the suitcase, the student claimed it contained clothes and personal belongings. However, his behaviour aroused suspicion, prompting the staff to insist on opening the suitcase.
The student reportedly refused to cooperate, leading security to escalate the matter to university authorities. Upon opening the suitcase, officials were shocked to find a young woman inside.
A fellow student recorded the incident and uploaded the video to social media with the caption ‘student smuggles girlfriend in suitcase’, and it quickly went viral, attracting widespread attention and amusement online.
It remains unclear whether the woman is also a student of the university or an outsider. University officials have stated that an investigation is underway to ascertain all facts related to the incident.
