Siva Pratap Shukla sworn in as Telangana Governor

Hyderabad: Siva Pratap Shukla took oath as Telangana Governor at Lok Bhavan in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court Aparesha Kumar Singh administered the oath during the ceremony.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, ministers and senior officials attended the programme.

The ceremony began with the singing of Vande Mataram and the national anthem.

Telangana Governor oath ceremony held at Lok Bhavan

During the ceremony, Siva Pratap Shukla took the oath in Telugu and said he would discharge his duties with dedication.

After the oath, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy greeted the Governor and presented a bouquet.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud and Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukender Reddy also attended the ceremony.

Several ministers, officials and public representatives were present.

Siva Pratap Shukla succeeded former Governor Jishnu Dev Varma, who was recently appointed as the Governor of Maharashtra.
